Bila baca blog2 tentang percutian ke Jepun sounds interesting dengan scenaries yang cantik2 dari pengalaman yang berbeza menambahkan lagi keinginan nak ke sana.
So, last year in November, I started to do some research for ticket flights to Japan for three persons after confirm the best date for our travel.
1. Preparation Awal
Preparation awal sangat penting for those yang choose to travel by their own like me. I love to travel by our own cos you will have a lot of experiences and interaction with locals. Ada pros and cons, up to individual.
I start to do readings about Japan on blogs, you tubes, googles and get some stories from friends yang dah pernah melawat Japan before. Memang very helpful, but we need to tailor the information to suit our own plan and experience them from our own way.
Information below is something I did for a start before my journey or any vacation that I plan.
1. Best flight tickets arrangement
2. Itinerary to cover
3. Require Visa or not
4. Check Passport validity (at least 6 months from the travel date)
5. Accommodation
6. Tips
7. Do and Donts
8. Whatever info tentang pengalaman orang lain ke Jepun.
Selalunya I will start at least 3 months before the travel, yer la, keja office kena tengok jugak so limited time nak baca blogs and pahamkan cerita2 dari blogs. Memang susah nak imagine sebab kita tak pernah sampai ke satu2 tempat, and sometimes, lagi baca macam2 pengalaman org, makin pening dan makin confuse dibuatnya.
2. Flight
So far, the best comparison for flights I am using www.skyscanner.net for price comparison. Masa survey tu memang Air Asia walaupun dah add on segala2 macam, still looks cheap from other flights.
.
But normally, for me, kalau tak banyak beza, I will opt for other options sebab air asia ni seat dia kecik, for my son kesian kat dia, kena struggle especially for long flight.
So for this trip, we opt for Air Asia, plus add on few hundreds for hot seat for extended legs. My son kaki memang panjang and considering flight 7 hours, better spend a bit for his convenient (and for me too).
Since originally nak cover only tokyo-osaka, I settled purchased tickets for the following route.
KLIA2 - Tokyo Haneda
Kansai Airport - KLIA2.
This is the best routes and cheapest, tapi bila dah purchased, baru terasa rugi for 2 days travel since our flight in the day, so the 2 days actually wasted on flight. Tapi ticket time tu memang murah.
After purchase, my friend cakap Japan Airline JAL buat promotion to Japan round trip RM1,200..memang murah so I think kena buat few research before opt for the tickets if you have time.
3. Insurance
Pengalaman my friend yang sedara dia meninggal di korea dan terpaksa uruskan jenazah balik which costs them a lot makes me purchase travel insurance for my trip. Ye la, nak pergi ke Japan, semuanya mahal. So we never know right.
So we all beli insurance travel which cover all the risks for only RM80rgt per person from Etiqa Insurance for 12 days. Banyak insurance offers travel insurance so boleh survey kat market. Berbaloi and sangat di rekomen to be safe than sorry. This is our first time beli travel insurance, normally beli yang air asia, but my friend cakap, tak payah beli yang air asia pun tak apa coz their coverage is very minimal.
4. Itinenary
It will cost time as well.
My itineraries keep changing few times lepas baca blog orang lain. The more info you have, the more you could effectively manage your itineraries to maximize time and expenses. Lepas tu, kena kaji jugak medium of transportation because kita akan 100% rely on public transport.
5. Transportation
Bila baca blog2 orang lain tentang transportation ni, memang I was nervous habis. Lagi baca, lagi confuse. Plus bila tengok route dia train la, subway la, bus la, belum lagi masuk term2 yang kita first time come across like JR line la, line tu la, line ni la, subway la, bus ni la..lagi la pening.
Ada yang rekomen download hyperdia untuk transport etc2, but the best thing is in my opinion, kena baca dan ambil tahu jugak macam2 info org lain share. It is so nice that people are willing to share in details their experiences which save us a lot of time.
I did the same jugak, baca blogs, tengok youtube, google..kadanag2 paham, kadang2 pening. But frankly, masa kat Japan we do not have much problems about our transportation. As long as you know where you want to go, the officer or public is very helpful untuk assist which platform to take. Walaupun kadang2 problem bahasa ayam itik, but so far we managed. Alhamdulillah, as we are not wasting so much time to get info on going from one place to another.
So for me, itineraries sangat penting and must study a little bit about the place and the best route. At the end, I think we will have our unique experiences there that is different from one person to another.
6. Tips, do and don'ts
Tips, do and donts and read about other people's experiences tu sangat worth kalau kita nak especially yang first time traveller. But, you will definitely experience your journey in your own way. Macam I read about people dalam train normally will be quiet and will not speak loud, tapi my experience, some japanese teenager did speak and laugh loud in the train. So we will validate based on individual experience, which will definitely people experiences would be different from one person to another. That would make each one experience unique.. kannnn..
Ok, sambung lagi in next blog.
